Below is a selection of the most
frequently asked questions I receive. Please do not hesitate to contact me personally if you do not find the answer to your question here.
How long will you need to be at my event for?
If I'm at a drinks reception or a party performing Close-Up Magic, then I can interact with roughly 40 people an hour, so it really depends how many guests you are expecting.
If I'm performing magic at tables during a meal, it's a little harder to say exactly as I try to perform at each table in between the courses of the meal to ensure that
your guest's can enjoy the magic without having to eat at the same time. In most situations 10 tables will take me roughly two hours.
How much do you charge?
I offer a quality service tailor made for the specific requirements of your event. The price I quote will depend on several
factors such as the number of guests you have and how long you will need me to be at your event for. As a full time magician, I realised travelling is simply a part
of my job, so the great news is I do not charge any travelling expenses whatsoever. Please go to the contact page for an immediate quote for your event.
Can you also entertain the Children present?
I have no problem doing some magic for the younger ones if they are at an event that I'm performing at. I always keep a few simple
tricks in my pockets for the little ones. I am not specifically a Children's Entertainer though, and my magic is designed with adults and older
kids in mind. If you are looking for someone to come and entertain a room full of 5 - 10 year
olds then I am not the man for you. I can recommend someone for the
job though, give me a call or e-mail me and I'll put you in touch with the best Children's Entertainer I know. Teenagers however
love what I do and I think a Close-Up Magician at a teenager's party adds something very special. So 13 years old and up is perfectly suitable for what I do.
How do I know just how good you are?
The world of the professional magician in the 21st century is extremely competitive and quite simply if you're not good, you
don't eat. I have spent the last 17 years performing on a daily basis and I love what I do. I think the love for what I do

Are you insured?
Yes, I have Public Liability Insurance for £1,000,000 to cover myself, your guests and the venue in the event of an accident. It is for
everyone's peace of mind. I have never had to use this policy yet!
What happens if you cancel?
In the highly unlikely event that I cancel on you, I will find another professional magician from my circle of magician
colleagues who can perform at your event. I will mention that the possibility of me cancelling is highly unlikely unless I have been run down
by a bus.
Is your price negotiable?
With magicians you very much get what you pay for, if you shop around you will receive quotes ranging immensely. Magic
is an art form which requires lots of innovation and practice. Each performer will have decided his worth and should
have relevant references and experience to justify their cost. Personally, I have spent many years fine tuning my repertoire and I believe my prices offer very good value
indeed for a full time professional magician, so my prices are not negotiable.
I'm organising a charity event, could you offer a free performance?
I do a few charity performances throughout the year for organisations I have chosen to support, however I have no more free performances available in 2011.
How did David Copperfield make the Statue of Liberty Disappear?
He is the very best. In fact I will even go as far as to say that if you have a chance to book him for your event over me,
do it... I have a feeling he might be a bit more expensive though.
