Weddings
Congratulations! You have chosen your dress, booked the venue and sent out the invites. Now it's time
to decide how you will keep your guests entertained during the quieter parts of your wedding day.
There are always a few brilliant opportunities to surprise your guests with a magician during a wedding day. The welcome
drinks reception when the photos are taken is a really good example, your guests will be stood around waiting for the meal
at this point. Bear in mind that the photographs and drinks reception can sometimes go on for a couple of hours and a lot
of your guests will be meeting for the first time. If you have a magician walking around performing for small groups, it
will not only serve as the perfect ice breaker, but also lighten the mood and get the party started early. I always suggest
that you keep my performance a secret from your guests and just allow me to mix with them unannounced. It always gets the
biggest reactions when the guests are not expecting anything. This will also help to get them interacting with each other,
as everyone will want to know who planned the surprise entertainment.
In addition to the drinks reception, it does work really well to follow it with magic at the tables during the meal.
You will usually find that some of your guests will have to be seated together who do not know each other. Having a magician
perform at each table does create a nice atmosphere in the dining room, as laughter and applause will be audible throughout
the meal. I perform one really good interactive show at each table in between the courses of the wedding breakfast. It works
perfectly because your guests will be seated at the tables for up to three hours with speeches etc. It breaks up the time
for your guests really well.
Close-Up Magic can also be used as some additional entertainment during the evening reception, particularly if you have a significant
number of guests only attending in the evening. Every single wedding is different though, and with my experience of performing at
over 50 weddings in 2009 I can advise you on when my sort of entertainment will work best during your own wedding day. Alternatively,
perhaps you have an idea yourself regarding when you would like to bring it in to make an impact? I'm happy to consider different
ideas.
With regards to my prices for entertaining at weddings; The really good news is that I offer various packages which cover every single type of wedding,
from a large wedding with over 150 guests, through to a small intimate wedding with 30 or less close friends and relatives. I believe I have a package to suit all wedding sizes and budgets.
I also offer a package where you can split my performance so that I can keep your guests entertained during the photos or meal and then
have me return later in the day to meet your evening guests and fill that awkward gap between the end of the meal and the evening party beginning.
I often demonstrate my services at wedding fairs 3 - 4 times a season. Please send me an e-mail, if you would like to know which fairs I will be
appearing at over the coming months. If you pop along to a fair you will see the magic I will perform at your wedding and also have a chat with
me about the specific requirements for your special day.

Working at a lot of weddings I see the good and the great suppliers, in my opinion these guys are great and I recommend
them wholeheartedly;
